About the event

Traveller's Tales and the Healing Herbs that help us navigate the paths.

A story-led journey with Amanda Edmiston (Botanica Fabula) taking a look at the folklore, fairy tales and legends that have followed travelling communities and communities that have travelled and the healing plants that feature in them.

Amanda's book Collected Curiosities is out this June and she has created this talk for the Folklore Centre she will be blending traditional storytelling, her own herbal knowledge and offer insights into her research into her own family's English Romany connection and her work researching Scottish traveller tales (with kind permission of her mentor Jess Smith), and suggesting herbal teas from the stories that you could safely prepare, affordably access and sip as you listen to this evenings session!
