The Ballad of Johnny Armstrang

We're pleased to announce a viewing of a well-received locally produced video 'The Ballad of Johnny Armstrang' which tells the story of the notorious border reiver & his demise at the hands of James V of Scotland in 1530.

There'll also be a talk & Q/A about how the project developed & came about / the story behind the ballad / experiences filming in Todmorden & the Borderlands + a LIVE performance of the Ballad & other traditional pieces by John Armstrong, dbh, Emma Thomas & Linz. This will be the first public showing in Todmorden! Film produced by 'Trusty Films'.
